HAND PAINTING ARTWORK VINE & FLOWERS ON RED POWDER ROOM WALLS

HAND PAINTING ARTWORK VINE & FLOWERS ON RED POWDER ROOM WALLS

Here is more artwork that I painted in Patti's home that is going to be for sale.  When she was building this home, she asked me to do quite a bit of artwork on ceilings, walls, etc.
This house is around 6,000 sq. ft., so there was lots of space for artwork.
This is one of her powder rooms.  She had it painted an orangey red color and told me what she wanted and left the colors up to me.  You can't paint just any colors on that red.
I painted these vines and flowers on all four walls.
She had the ceiling painted this same red.  She asked me to paint the crown molding with metallic silver.  First I painted the molding red, then swiped the silver over it.
It looked really nice with the walls and metallic silver mirror over the sink.
She asked me to paint this little chest yellow, distressed and paint the top and feet black and white checkered.  Those checkered feet were not easy to paint!
The yellow, black and white look so good with the red.
Patti always has the most beautiful light fixtures.  They really dress up each room.

PATTI'S BEAUTIFUL TUSCAN HOME & GARDEN ~ IT'S GOING TO BE FOR SALE, SOON

PATTI'S BEAUTIFUL TUSCAN HOME & GARDEN ~ IT'S GOING TO BE FOR SALE, SOON

As I mentioned, Patti is moving.
These mariachis are metal and cute as can be.  They are on her front porch right now.
They rusted a bit from the humidity.  She removed the rust,
then asked me to touch up some of the paint that had flaked off.
She is going to put them on her new house above her front porch.
I just had to show you the outside and some of the garden around her home.
She designed every bit of it and it is truly amazing and beautiful!
These are the old gates to her courtyard and front door.
Those plaques on either side of her door were wrought iron.
She asked me to paint them a copper faux finish and paint a patina on them.
I did all of this work several years ago when Patti was building this home.
A garden niche in front of her home.
That is her courtyard behind the rock wall.
This wonderful tuscan home will be for sale in the late winter or early spring.
Patti said she doesn't mind if I share lots more pictures of LOTS of artwork I did back then.
I painted several ceilings, furniture, dressers for bath sinks, tiles, mantel, lots of things.

PAINTING & EMBOSSING FEATHER WOOD ART PLAQUES

PAINTING & EMBOSSING FEATHER WOOD ART PLAQUES

Today I finished these three embossed wood plaques to put in my space at the craft mall.
I embossed these feathers on very thin plywood and painted everything a gray brown color.
I painted the embossed feathers with a metallic silver.
With a tiny brush, I painted a border of metallic silver on the edge of each painting.
I turned the stencil so all three could be hung together side by side or separately.
To hang them, I strung wooden beads and pewter feathers on a wire.
I'm having fun creating and making things for my space in the craft mall.

AMAZING SPARKLING CRYSTAL CHANDELIERS IN PATTI'S NEW HOME

AMAZING SPARKLING CRYSTAL CHANDELIERS IN PATTI'S NEW HOME

Patti is moving.
I've work with her for years.  She's one of my favorite clients to work with because
I LOVE her taste in decorating.
The bathroom I showed you a couple of posts ago was her new bathroom.  Here is a link to the cabinets I painted:
When she's finished decorating in there, it will be amazing.
She's going to use mercury glass in her bath and master bedroom.
I went by her new home this morning to take pictures of her new chandeliers.
I wanted to show you what I love about Patti's decorating.
Look at this chandelier!!  It's going over their dining table.
The electricians just finished hanging it and the tape is still on the delicate crystals.
Isn't this amazing!!
These three crystal chandeliers are in her kitchen.  They are so beautiful, too!
She's waiting for her kitchen cabinets to be installed.
They're close enough in this huge room and you'll see them all sparkling at the same time.
Are you as impressed as I am??
I could just stand and stare, they're so beautiful!
The side walls and ceiling are taupe.  The tallest walls at each end of the room are peach.  The wood flooring planks are wide and kind of grayish brown like barnwood.
Patti gave me permission to take these pictures and I bet she'll let me keep sharing pictures with you.  I want to get a better picture of the beige and peach furniture in her living room behind that fireplace.  Her kitchen is on this side of her fireplace.

PAINTING & DISTRESSING PATTI'S MASTER BATH CABINETS IN HER NEW HOME

PAINTING & DISTRESSING PATTI'S MASTER BATH CABINETS IN HER NEW HOME

Patti is moving to a new home.  She's doing a lot of redecorating and renovations.  Last house she loved Tuscan, colorful and dark.  But, that was several years ago.
This time she wants lots of whites, grays and beiges.
She asked me to paint her master bath cabinets white/distressed.
The original finish on the cabinets was really nice, but she wanted white.
So, I primed, painted and distressed these cabinets for her.
She added mercury glass or mirror knobs and they look so pretty.
In her master bedroom, she's using a lot of mercury glass with off white furniture and taupe walls.
Patti asked me to lightly distress.  I sanded/distressed here and there, then, painted over a lot because she wanted "lightly".  Sometimes, I do a lot of distressing on purpose and then stand back to see where to paint over certain areas to make it look authentic.
These are cabinets in the water closet.
I love the simple rope decoration around the mirrors.  Simple and elegant.
She's moving from a really beautiful home to this really beautiful home.
So glad I got to be a part of the last one and love working with her on her new home.
Thank you, Patti!
