LOVING MY RETRACTABLE CLOTHESLINES IN MY LAUNDRY ROOM

LOVING MY RETRACTABLE CLOTHESLINES IN MY LAUNDRY ROOM

A couple of years ago I came across a retractable clothesline.
It occurred to me that it was perfect for my 15' long laundry/sewing/work room.
Rags, rags, rags...
I use so many wet rags in my studio and working around the house.  To let them dry out before putting them in the dirty clothes I would hang them on the laundry sink, the washer, dryer, just any place I could find a spot. When I found the retractable clothesline I knew it would be perfect to hang those wet rags and would look so much neater than rags hanging everywhere.
I really loved "hanging out those rags".  I guess it was a little nostalgic.
So, since I had plenty of room I purchased another clothesline and started hanging out other pieces of my laundry.  THEN, I purchased a third one because I wanted to hang out my sheets.  You would not believe the difference between dryer dried sheets and hanging them out on this inside clothesline.  The sheets are sooo soft and even smell good.
I placed the clotheslines so they are above my head when not in use.  I do have to maneuver around the wet clothes when they're hanging out to dry.  But, I don't mind one bit.
I truly LOVE hanging my clothes on a clothesline and
I love taking the clothespins off and folding everything.
Do you remember hanging out clothes?  Do you still hang out clothes?
(I found the retractable clotheslines at Lowe's)

TILE FLOORING THAT LOOKS LIKE WOOD

TILE FLOORING THAT LOOKS LIKE WOOD

Right now I'm working in a nice older home that is being remodeled.
One of my favorite things is the bronze colored metal roof.
This new floor fools everybody.  I know it looks like wood, but it is tile.
I just had to share it with you.
The grout lines are very narrow, not wider like regular tile.
I think the thin grout lines help it look even more like wood than tile.
This owner is in a wheel chair.
So, the tile is very appropriate for the wear and tear it will be getting.
My job in this house is painting her brand new kitchen cabinets.
The new kitchen is also wheelchair friendly.
They asked me to paint a white/distressed finish.
The distressed finish will help if her chair bumps the cabinets hard enough to chip them.
The carpenter on the job built this kitchen especially for this client's needs.
I'm hoping I can share it with you when I'm finished painting. I will if I can.
In the meantime, I wanted to show you this flooring...so nice!
