VIEW FROM MY FRONT DOOR THIS MORNING

  1. Yes!! Because of the drout, I've been afraid I'd lose my redbud trees, but they seem to have made it. The blooms only last a few days. But, I thoroughly enjoy them while they're here. Honeybees love the flowers, too!

  6. The redbuds here withstood the ice storm and are blooming like crazy. I love the lavender blooms against the gray of the birdhouse.

    1. Redbuds and forsythia are the first to bloom, here. These have made it through the freezes, too. I love those colors together, too.

    1. We can plant redbuds, or they just come up everywhere because birds are always eating the seeds and re-planting them. I just move the tiny babies where I want them in my landscape.

  15. What a gorgeous sight! I saw redbud trees for the first time when we were in Pennsylvania. I don't think they're hardy to our zone here in NW Wisconsin (zone 3). How lovely they are!

    1. All of the winter plants are blooming right now. I saw a very beautiful forsythia hanging over a rock fence and just loved how it looked!! Those blooms will be gone soon, too.
